About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Candice Kalil and I'm currently a senior at Saint Michael's College in Colchester VT. Originally from Middletown RI, I made the scenic five hour trek up to Vermont for college and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I'm a Media Studies, Journalism and Digital Arts major with a Business Administration minor. 

Eventually I hope to take my degree and work with Marketing/Public Relations/Events in mainly the wedding industry but also the ski industry if I could. Two completely different areas but hey if I could work events at a ski resort, why not? Getting some free ski passes thrown my way would not be too shabby either!

I'm spent last spring semester studying abroad in Granada, Spain which was one of the greatest opportunities and the best times of my life. Granada is located in the southern part of Spain, its even under two hours away from Africa. It is a beautiful small city where I got to take classes to work on getting a good understanding of Spanish, religion and the culture in Spain. It was the best four months I could've hoped for and if you get the chance to ever go abroad for any length of time, don't miss the chance to take it!

I'm a huge skier I have loved it ever since my parents brought me out to the mountains when was 4. You will also learn I'm OBSESSED with dogs. Not love them, I am obsessed with them. I have three at home (Rosie, Sally & Stella) and they are my favorites. If you see me around campus, nine out of ten times I will have an iced coffee in my hand I have a slight love of Dunkin coffee.  I apologize to you now if you look at any of my social media accounts, 80% of the content revolves around dogs. Also if every once and a while you don't hear me being called Candice its nothing new, after playing rugby the past few years at Saint Mike's the nickname Candy stuck!

This is the beginning of what is to be basically a day in the life of a SMC student, skier, dog person, and undergrad student. I will hopefully be able to give some perspective and insight into both life at Saint Mike's while adding in a little of everything and anything else!
